While Microsoft has certainly become more open-minded about porting over its first-party exclusives to other platforms, with Halo: The Master Chief Collection making its way to Steam and Cuphead releasing on the Nintendo Switch, Sony has been very hesitant to do the same. Is Ghost of Tsushima Coming to PS5? By John Saavedra Does the PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn mark the start of a new release trend for first-party PlayStation exclusives? Will other PS4 first-party exclusives and future PS5 exclusives start to make their way to PC down the line? There’s zero indication of that and the upcoming PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn seems to simply be a special case. ![]() This is a pretty surprising turn of events since the developer, Guerrilla Games, is another first-party Sony studio. The one exception to this rule is Horizon Zero Dawn, which is coming to PC in August. As it stands, major PS4 hits like God of War, Bloodborne, and Marvel’s Spider-Man have remained exclusive to the current-gen console after all of these years, with no sign that they will ever be ported over to PC or Xbox. ![]() You see, the game’s developer, Sucker Punch Productions, is a first-party studio owned by Sony Interactive Entertainment, a game publisher that doesn’t often release its exclusive first-party titles on other platforms. Not that there was ever much of a possibility that this would happen. As it stands, there’s no word that Ghost of Tsushima will make it onto the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, or PC. While there’s a chance these games will also eventually be ported over to the PlayStation 5, players on platforms not made by Sony might be out of luck. Unfortunately, only PS4 fans are able to enjoy these two titles at the moment. Both The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima have received high praise from critics and fans alike, making them two of the biggest games of the year. That doesn’t mean it’s definitely never happening, but it's certainly not on the cards right now.Sony has been killing it of late with its recent PlayStation 4 exclusives. Unfortunately, as many have been hoping for, there is no mention of Bloodborne or Marvels Spider-Man coming to PC. Wii, but is likely just because of Nvidia Shield and a partnership with Nintendo for testing. Even some Nintendo games pop up like Super Mario Bros. Some other interesting titles have been spotted as well, including PlayStation’s Judgment with keyboard and mouse support, plus a game called “ Fight for Middle-Earth” and “ Injustice 3: Gods Will Fall”. The reason being is that it lists Steam as a platform with a “ TBD” Steam ID unlike other entries in the list. ![]() What is worth noting though, is that God of War is likely to be the next game coming to PC after the Uncharted PC Collection. Either way, none of this is complete 100% confirmation that these games are coming to PC. There’s also a couple references to some unannounced games, which are likely just placeholders for testing. It’s very possible that this could just be a collaboration with Sony and their PlayStation Now service. The leak also mentions the Final Fantasy 7 Remake that has been rumored to launch on the Epic Games Store, as well as the recently rumored Grand Theft Auto Trilogy Remasters.Įven though it’s Nvidia themselves, it’s important to take this all with a grain of salt. ![]() You can even access it yourself if you want to take a look yourself. The list comes from Nvidia’s own database of games, which lists all compatible titles on their cloud streaming service. There’s also mention of the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and Horizon Forbidden West, the former we already knew is coming to PC and the latter is more than likely to as well. However, a new leak from Nvidia’s GeForce Now service suggests we could be getting some of their most popular games soon.Īccording to the leak, the PlayStation exclusive titles coming to PC at some point include: God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Demons Souls Remake, Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet and Clank, Returnal, and Sackboy A Big Adventure. Sony has been pretty coy with announcing which PlayStation games will be coming to PC after they announced more of their console exclusives will be coming to the PC platform.
